Ive thoroughly enjoyed the Suzuki Swift 1.5 for the past week, a beautifully styled little car which is ideal for someone who is looking for economy, good looks and very nice 'drivability' around the city. On a trip around the Peninsula, the handling was immediately noticeable, the short wheel base and low mass made the chassis beautifully balanced. She weighs just 980 KG. The seating position feels quite 'high' in the car, which I like, giving a slightly elevated view over the bonnet, and safety wise, 6 airbags are standard. Satellite controls on the steering wheel for for the four-speaker MP3-enabled CD changer and radio come as standard, as does aircon. The dash is uncomplicated, and clean, without the 'plastic' look of many of the smaller cars. Boot space is slightly limited, at 201L, but then you're unlike to be using this car as a 'transporter'. At about 7.5L per 100km, its easy on the pocket, and all in all, a super little car! The car I had was in a gun-metal grey, and was a very sexy looking package, loved it!!

Altech Autopage Cellular in Cape Town have kindly provided me with a Nokia N81 8GB handset to use, which is mainly to allow me the best quality avaliable for live crossings to on-air radio studios from sports events, outdoor events etc. To say I am thrilled with the phone is an understatement. It has changed the way I view a mobile phone, and has become an invaluable piece of equipment in terms of a voice-recorder, camera, diary, and just plain-awesome handset. Above all, it gives me the audio quality I need for live broadcasts.
