Jeff has been around adventure sports since the age of 13, when he started packing parachutes for the skydivers of the Pietermaritzburg Parachute Club. He started jumping on his 16th birthday, and the sport became his life for the next 15 years. During this time, jeff also developed a love for rock climbing.

Specialising in 4 and 8 way formation skydiving, Jeff was part of the South African team which competed in France and Brazil. As a result of being on the national team, he landed a full-time job as a sports presenter and music show presenter on Capital 604. During his time at 604, he did the sports reports on the drive shows, as well as the Weekend Breakfast Show, and a sunday evening show called 'Talking Sport'.

Jeff was part of a team which won national titles in Canopy Relative Work in both 4 Way rotation and 8 way speed stacks, before turning his attention to instructing. On his return to South Africa, he started 'Air-Time Adventures' with Andy Searle, teaching Accelarated Freefall in Pietermaritzburg, whilst working with Parachute Industries of South Africa in the R & D department.

After moving to Cape Town in the mid 90's, Jeff started paragliding, as a means of staying in contact with his great passion, the sky.

He continued in radio, working on both sport and music shows for Cape Town's Good Hope FM, before moving to KFM. After about 5 years on both the sports desk and presenting music shows with KFM, Jeff moved to 567 Cape Talk.
